The City of Brotherly Love is serving up some serious pizza bragging rights.
Two Philadelphia pizza shops have landed on Food & Wine’s list of the top 27 pizzas in the country, proving there’s plenty to love about the city’s pizza scene.
First up is Down North Pizza, located at 28th Street and Lehigh Avenue in North Philadelphia. The publication gave a shoutout to the shop’s “No Betta Love” pizza and its Thai curry “Sauce It Up” creation.
Across town, Pizzeria Beddia is also getting a slice of the national spotlight.
Located at Lee and Thompson streets in Philadelphia’s Fishtown neighborhood, the pizza spot earned praise for its popular corn pizzas.
So, what makes these Philly favorites stand out? According to Food & Wine, the list celebrates restaurants that are pushing the boundaries of pizza.
