Trader Joe’s is expanding its footprint in Texas, with three new stores planned for the Lone Star State, including a new location in the Houston-area city of Bellaire.
The California-based grocery chain is planning stores in Bellaire, Cedar Park and Mansfield as part of a nationwide expansion that includes about 30 new locations across 16 states.
The upcoming stores are listed as “coming soon” on Trader Joe’s website, but specific opening dates have not been announced for most of the locations. The company has confirmed that the Bellaire store is expected to open in 2027.
The three planned locations are:
The Bellaire location will bring Trader Joe’s to the Bellaire Boulevard shopping area. The company said its team is working toward opening the store in 2027 and will share additional details as they become available.
The Cedar Park store will expand the chain’s presence in the Austin area, while the Mansfield location will add another option for shoppers in the Dallas-Fort Worth region.
Trader Joe’s has not announced exact opening dates for the three Texas locations.
The company’s official announcement for the Bellaire store says it is targeting an opening in 2027. Shoppers can check the Trader Joe’s store-opening announcements page for updates.
Another Trader Joe’s is also planned for Spring, north of Houston, at 21364 Kuykendahl Road, according to previous reporting by the Houston Chronicle. That project is separate from the three locations included in the latest nationwide expansion list.
The new Texas locations are part of a broader expansion that includes stores in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Utah and Washington.
The retailer is known for its private-label groceries, specialty snacks, frozen meals and seasonal products.
While the company has identified the upcoming locations, most do not yet have confirmed opening dates. Customers can monitor the chain’s official store announcements for updates.
